CELTIC BRITAIN, Uninscribed Coinage, Iceni, Late Freckenham type, (c.45-40 B.C.), base gold stater, (5.33 grams), obv. floral pattern, with flower superimposed on cross of pellets, rev. Celticized horse to right with wheel above dot either side, curved line and pellet below horse, (S.39, Van A. 627-7 variant, and noted as extremely rare). Very fine and rare.
