BRITISH GUIANA, Essequibo and Demerary, three bits (1808) centre plug of eight reales with 19 crenellations countermarked E&D/3 BTS in two lines within beaded circle (Pr.3;KM1- this piece illus). Reverse of original coin show on obverse rim. Dark toned extremely fine and extremely rare. $ Ex R.J. Ford Collection (lot 405).
