THE PROVINCIAL AND SUBURBAN BANK LIMITED, ten pounds, issued at Melbourne, August 1877 (?) and maybe 9 writen over 8, (18 printed), No. 03929, hand signed by uncertain manager and entered by Acct., printed on unwatermarked paper, with imprint under vignette, 'Bradbury Wilkinson & Co. London', with vignette of female with grain and grapes in hand near left frame, value tablets in corners, orange centre block with TEN POUNDS, all within rectangular ornate border with words VICTORIA at top and bottom, on back X and TEN in oval frame with facing heads of Queen Victoria at side, black and orange on white/orange and green on white, (Vort-Ronald, type two, p.194-196 on bank, and similar note illustrated as Fig.204 and 205). With creases and folds, some small pin-holes, and in ink 'Nellie MacIntosh Sep 6 49 on back, otherwise nearly fine and rare.
