CONSTANTINE IV, (668-685), solidus, Constantinople mint, Class III, issued 674-681, obv. helmeted three-quarter cuirassed bust to right, with frontal plume, holding spear and shield, rev. Cross potent on three steps, between Heraclius and Tiberius, Officina Gamma reversed, (cf.S.1154, DOC (8ba), BN 14/04, illust.). Weak in places, otherwise extremely fine, rare variant with mint bloom.
