MACEDON, kingdom of Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.22 grams), 'Amphipolis' mint, obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, in dotted border, rev. Zeus seated to left on throne to left with eagle in outstretched hand, to left an amphora, to right ALEXANDROU, (cf.S.6713, Price 13, Muller 527, BMC 13). About as struck, good extremely fine and rare thus.
