MACEDON, kingdom of Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.15 grams), 'Side' mint, obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, in dotted border, rev. Zeus seated to left on throne to left with eagle in outstretched hand, to left a wreath, and below throne monogram DI, to right ALEXANDROU and below BASILEWS, (cf.S.6713, Price 2949, Muller 550, BMC 2949). Extremely fine/ good very fine.
