THRACIAN CHERRONESOS, (possibly city of Cardia in later times), (c.400-350 B.C.), silver hemidrachm, (2.37 grams), obv. forepart of lion to right looking back, paws raised, rev. quadripartite incuse square, with alternate depressions deeper and each containing a pellet, one with letter I, (cf.S.1602, Type not in SNG's, McLean, BMC etc.). Very fine.
