IONIA, Magnesia, (after 165 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.94 grams), obv. diademed bust of Artemis to right with bow and quiver at shoulder, rev. Apollo standing to left on meander pattern, holding branch and resting left elbow on tripod surmounted by quiver, to left MAGNHTWN, to right PAUSANIAS and PAUSANIOU, all within laurel wreath, (cf.S.4485, ANSMN 24, Jones [p.104-5], 8-22). Weak in places, extremely fine and rare.

A similar specimen in Noble Numismatics sale 48 (lot 2701) realised $1056.
