SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus VII, (138-129 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.57 grams), Antioch mint, obv. diademed head of Antiochus VII to right, fillet border, rev. Athene standing to left, holding wreath bearing Nike in hand and other hand on shield with Medusa head and holding spear, BASILEWS ANTIOCOY, and to left EVER GETOV, to left monogram of DI over A, behind Athena D, (S.7092, cf.Houghton ACNAC 267, SMA 288, BMC 21,). Nearly extremely fine, scarce.
