EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.18 grams), Tyre mint, obv. head of Ptolemy I to right wearing aegis, D behind, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front club and monogram TYP, around BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU, (cf.S.7773, Sv. 644, SNG Cop 482). Dirt on reverse, otherwise nearly very fine.
