PALESTINE, Judaea, Second Revolt or Bar Cochba War, (A.D. 132-135), medium bronze, AE 27, (7.175 grams), Third Coinage, undated attributed to year 3 = A.D. 134-5, obv. vine leaf, around Hebrew legend = 'For the Freedom of Jerusalem', rev. seven branch palm tree with legend in Hebrew 'Shim`on', (S.5687, Mildenberg 118 [these dies obv. 10, rev. 82, with 19 reported specimens],, Mesh. 74a, SNG ANS 567 same dies). Poorly struck with undertype of emperor's head to right discernable, some porosity, otherwise fine and scarce.
