CRUSADER COINAGE, Chios, gold ducat, in the Venetian style, issued by Filippo Maria Visconti, duke of Milan (1421-1436), obv. Doge kneeling before the figure of St. Mark, rev. Christ standing within stars, (NN&M 128 Ives [Pl.XI, No.2]). Crude style, very fine and scarce.
