HENRY III, (1216-1272), silver penny, long cross issue, class 3b, issued 1248-1250, IER/VEI/S ON/IVE, Ilchester mint, (S.1363, N.987). Slightly weak on a few letters, otherwise nearly extremely fine and very rare.
Ex. Richard Cyril Lockett collection and illustrated on supplementary plate 76 (row 8 no 7), Glendining's June 6-9 1955 (lot 1203 part) and with Dave Hess, Baton Rouge Louisiana envelope.
