HENRY III, (1216-1272), silver penny, long cross issue, class 3c, issued 1248-1250, STE/PHE/ON I/VEL, Ilchester mint, (S.1364, N.988). Slightly weak on a few letters, otherwise good very fine and very rare.
Ex. Richard Cyril Lockett collection with his ticket and illustrated on supplementary plate 77 (row 7 no 4), Glendining's June 6-9 1955 (lot 1204 part) and with Dave Hess, Baton Rouge Louisiana envelope.
