HENRY III, (1216-1272), silver penny, long cross issue, class 3b, issued 1248-1250, ROG/ER O/N N/EW, Newcastle mint, (S.1363, N.987). Good very fine, with attractive gold tone and scarce.
Ex. Richard Cyril Lockett collection and illustrated on supplementary plate 76 (row 10 no 2), Glendining's June 6-9 1955 (lot 1203 part) and with Dave Hess, Baton Rouge Louisiana envelope.
