MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL (GVR). Dvr.R. Graham 44 Bn. A.I.F. Impressed. Near Very fine. $ MSM L.G. 17 June 1918: 'For conspicuous Gallantry and Devotion to Duty on 6 October 1917 during operations east of Ypres, he was sent forward with pack animals at a time when the road was being heavily shelled. By his coolness and utter disregard of danger, he was asked to deliver his oad in the shortest posible time. He has at all times shown the greatest possible coolness when under enemy fire, besides an earnest desire to preserve animals under his charge from becoming casualties. He is a splendid example to other men of his section, carrying out his duties cheerfully under most trying circumstances.' Together with: attestation papers, medical records, demob' form and later compensation claim forms. A native of West Perth W.A.
