VAN DIEMEN'S LAND, conditional pardon, number 723, issued to William Whittal who arrived at Hobart Town in 1830, under sentence of transportation for fourteen years, on condition that he continues to reside within Van Diemans Land during the space of his original term. Signed and sealed by the Lieutenant-Governor Sir John Franklin, 4th August, 1842. Edge of seal cracked.
