IONIA, Phocaia, c.400-325 B.C. electrum hekte (2.6 grams), Bodenstedt dates 388 B.C., obv. horned female head (Io) to left with ear-rings and long hair, rev. quadripartite incuse square, the surface of each square slopes downwards, (S.4532, Bodenstedt 96, McLean 8259, BMC 57, SNG Aberdeen 278). Off centred on the obverse, otherwise good very fine and rare.
