COMMODUS, (A.D. 177-192), AE As, Rome mint, issued A.D. 183-184, obv. laureate head of Commodus to right, around M COMMODVS ANTON AVG PIVS, rev. around [TR P VIIII] IMP VI COS IIII P P, across field S C, Roma seated to left, holding Victory and spear, (cf.S.1661, RIC 429b, C.-). Apple green patina but short on flan, very fine and scarce.
