BOMBAY PRESIDENCY, Indian Design, Bombay Mint 1800-1824, in the name of Shah Alam II (A.H.1173-1221, A.D. 1759-1806), Regnal Year 46, all with Privy Mark of star below three pellets, (Pridmore Privy mark No.6), silver half and rupees (3, with one plated), mostly with some or all of the Regnal Year 46 date, (Pr. 270, 271, KM.211.2, 212.2). Very fine - extremely fine, first with attractive grey tone. (4)
Pridmore (p.170) notes that copper forgeries of the rupee occur and are usually catalogued as Surat Pice!.
