CARIA, Pixodaros as satrap, (340-334 B.C.), silver didrachm, (6.52 grams), obv. laureate head of Apollo three-quarter face to right, rev. Zeus Labraundos standing to right holding labrys and spear, to right **[P]IXWDAROU*, (S.4966 [£450], BMC 5-10 [p.185]). Of fine artistic merit, good very fine/very fine and rare in this condition.
