EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (283-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, issued 271/0-267/6 B.C., (13.998 grams), Tyre mint, obv. diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, with aegis, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front H over club, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMA[IOU]*, (S.7773, Sv. 637, Meydancikkale hoard 4114-4180). Heavy scratches and knocks, some punch marks, otherwise nearly fine and a scarce mint.
