CHINA, Eastern Chou Dynasty, Warring State period, 'Chou Tung', round cash with square hole, (475 - 221 B.C.), two characters either side, diameter 28mms, (Coole 8901, Vol.7 p.14, TFP 9, Pl.2). Some green encrustation, otherwise very fine and extremely rare.
One of the earlist cash type coins that continued until tis century.
