EDWARD THE CONFESSOR, (1042-1066), silver cut farthing from a penny, short cross small flan type, issued 1048-1050, obv. [EDPA VD] R[E], portion of diademed bust of king to left, rev. AN in one quarter of short cross voided reverse, (cf.S.1175, cf.N.818); William I, the Conqueror (1066-1087), cut silver halfpenny from a penny, Bonnet type, Br.II type, issued 1068-1070, rev. NII and traces of other letters, (cf.S.1251, cf.N.842). Toned, fine - very fine, second further clipped, both rare. (2)
