MALAYSIA, Perak, Private monetary token (Jokoh), Tin, 19th century, 28mm., (6.92 grams), obv. (in Chinese 'Thai Ping Guan Kee' (Guan Kee Taiping), (SS.82). Very fine and very rare.

Ex Singapore Sale 40 (lot 1060, illustrated). Guan Kee is believed to be the name of a Company or Society situated in the town of Taiping in Perak. Similar issue in Millies published in 1871 suggests this piece was contemporary.
