CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 213, Rome mint, (2.466 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG BRIT, rev. Victory walking to left holding wreath, around MONETA AVG, (S.6821, RIC 224, RSC 165). Bright, flan crack, otherwise extremely fine, scarce.

The Reka Devnia hoard of 81,044 silver coins contained 5736 coins of Caracalla with 135 coins of this variety.
