ABBASIDS, al-Mu'tazz, (A.H. 251-255) (A.D. 866-869), gold dinar, as-Shash Mint (Tashkent), A.H. 253 = A.D. 868, with additional field inscriptions on the reverse and 'li-Ilah' (to Allah) and 'Al-Mu'tazz', (the caliph's name), (A.235, BMC 342e). Nearly extremely fine and rare.
