This Collection is housed in a supreme album, includes the following Royal Mint proofs, penny of Edward VIII, 1936 which is extremely rare as a proof the gem brilliant cupro-nickel proofs of the 1935 threepence and sixpence, the unique proof threepence of 1944 and sixpence of 1943 in cupro-nickel believed to be struck at the Melbourne Mint, the pattern threepence of 1937 in cupro-nickel which is unique in private hands and the pattern sixpence 1937 in cupro-nickel which is absolutely unique and not represented in the archive of the Royal Mint, both these were struck by the Mint in London following the Coronation of King George VI, and are from the A.H.F. Baldwin Collection (they were first sold in our sale 34, November 1990 (lots 1258, 9). Also included are the proof like patterns in cupro-nickel of the 1929 penny and halfpenny. The sale of this set represents a once in a lifetime opportunity to own something so unique in Australian Numismatics and a miniumum bid of $75,000 is required.
