SCOTLAND, Charles I, (1625-1649), gold unite, third coinage by Briot, mm. thistle and B, ornate bust with orb to right, issued 1637-1642, (S.5531). Round with full flan, golden red patina, break in denticles at 9.00 on obverse, otherwise good extremely fine and very rare in this condition.
