P. LICINIUS CASSIUS, (c.55 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.218 grams), obv. Venus laureate and diademed bust to right, S C behind, rev. female figure standing before her horse hold bridle, shield and cuirass at her feet, P. CRASSIVS M.F. around, (S.394 [£90 VF], Cr.430/1, Syd.929, RSC Licinia 18). Lightly toned, very fine and very scarce.
63 obverse dies used for this coinage as calculated by Crawford.
