T. CARISIUS, (46 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.448 grams), obv. head of Juno Moneta to right, MONETA behind, rev. cap of Vulcan over anvil between tongs and hammer, T. CARISIVS above, (S.447 [£90 VF], Cr.464/2, Syd.982, B. Carisia 1b). Fine/very fine and very scarce.

The coin is a direct allusion to the office of moneyer. All the other types (see next few lots) refer to the triumphs of Julius Caesar.
