TITUS (AS CAESAR UNDER VESPASIAN), (A.D. 79-81), gold aureus, Rome mint, issued A.D. 77-78, (7.352 grams), obv. laureate head of Titus to right, around T CAESAR IMP VESPASIANVS, rev. Roma seated to right, holding a spear, two birds in field, she wolf and twins at feet, COS VI in exergue, (S.2417 [£1400 VF], RIC 194, BMC 223, CBN 199, C.64). Softly struck on the reverse, otherwise good very fine/very fine and rare.
