MACEDON, Antigonos Gonatas, silver tetradrachm, 277-239 B.C., (17.008 grams), obv. Pan's head to left, with pedium on shoulder, all within Macedonian shield, rev. Athena Alkidemos advancing to left, with thunderbolt and shield, Macedonian helmet in field to left, **PIM* monogram to right, to left **BASILEWS*, to left **ANTIGONOU*, (S.6783, SNG Greece II (Alpha Bank)989, cf.SNG Cop 1199, Mathisen ANS MN 26 [1981] p.111 [for monogram]). Very fine and scarce.
