SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus VII, (138-129 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.854 grams), Antioch mint, obv. diademed head of Antiochus VII to right, fillet border, rev. Athene standing to left, holding wreath bearing Nike in hand and other hand on shield with Medusa head and holding spear, **BASILEWS ANTIOCOU* and to left **EUER GETOU, to left monogram of **DI over H, nothing behind Athena, (S.7092, SNG Israel I (Spaer) 1848, SMA Newell 279, BMC 31,). Nearly extremely fine/good very fine, scarce.
