SYRIA, Seleucis & Pieria, Antiochia ad Orontem (Antioch), Nero (A.D. 54-68), silver tetradrachm, (14.740 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Nero with archaic aegis around neck, **NERWN KAISAUS SEBAS[TOS]*, rev. **ETOUS AIR Q* (year 112 of Caesarian Era = A.D. 63, regnal year 10), eagle facing head to right, on thunderbolt, wings spread, palm branch in front, (cf.S.618, Prieur 85, RPC 4185). Very fine or better.

Ex Charles E. Weber Collection and previously privately purchased on March 21, 1994 with tickets. Antioch at this time was striking in good silver with a high standard of portraiture. This example provides a good portrait of Nero.
