AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), AE as, Rome mint, issued 7 B.C. by P. Lurius Agrippa, (10.836 grams), obv. bare head to right of Augustus around [CAESA]R AVGVST PONT MAX [TRIBVNIC POT], rev. P LVRIVS AGRIPPA III VIR A A A F F around large SC, (cf.S.1686, RIC 427, C.445, CBN 623, BMC 209). Off centred on the obverse, brown patina, otherwise very fine and scarce.

Ex John Dean Collection and Noble Numismatics Sale 73 (lot 3555) and previously from H.P. Whittle Collection (Sale 65, lot 1938).
