DOMITIAN, (A.D. 81-96), AE as, issue struck at Rome in A.D.88-89, (23.28 grams), obv. IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM P M TR P VIII CENS PER PP, head laureate to right, rev. COS XIIII LVD SAEC FEC around, S C in exergue, Domitian sacrificing before temple with a patera over an altar, harpist and flute player to right, (cf.S.2803, RIC 385b, C.86). Good fine/fine and rare.

Ex John Dean Collection. This type commemorates the Secular Games celebrated in Rome by Domintian in October of A.D. 88.
