FAUSTINA JUNIOR, wife of Marcus Aurelius, (d.A.D. 175), AE sestertius, issued 145-6, (27.48 grams), obv. FAVSTINA AVG PII AVG FIL, draped bust to right, rev. VENVS, Venus standing to left, holding apple and rudder, round which dolphin is coiled, (cf.S.1484, RIC 1388a, C268). Large flan, dark tone, extremely fine and rare in this condition.
