CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), AE sestertius, issued 210, Rome mint, (25.11 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around M AVREL ANTONI NVS PIVS AVG, rev. Mars hurrying to left, holding olive branch and trophy, around PONTIF TR P XIII COS III, S C across field, (S.6943 [£230 VF], RIC 450a, C.474). Some minor oxidation on edge of reverse, otherwise very fine, portrait better and rare.
