GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued 241-2, obv. laureate bust right, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. PM TR P IIII COS II P P, around, Gordian walking to right with spear and globe, (S.8731 [£65 VF], RIC 306a, C.254). Good very fine some green in centre of reverse.
