GALERIA VALERIA, daughter of Diocletian and second wife of Galerius, (c.A.D. 305-311), AE folles, Siscia mint, issued A.D. c.309-311 (6.354 grams), obv. draped bust to right of Galeria Valeria on crescent, wearing necklace and embroided drapery, around GAL VALERIA AVG, rev. around VENERI VICTRICI, SIS. in exergue, Venus standing facing, head left, holding up apple, raising drapery, in fields to left crescent and right B. (S.3730, cf.RIC 204). Attractive brown patination, good extremely fine and extremely rare in this condition with plain hair and no diadem.
