CONSTANTIUS GALLUS, (A.D. 351-354), AE centenionalis, Constantinople mint, (5.810 grams), obv. bare headed and draped and cuirassed bust to right, around D N FL C L CONSTANTIVS NOB CAES, rev. soldier advancing left spearing fallen horsenman, around FEL TEMP RE PARATIO, **G* and dot above, in exergue CONSI, (S.4054, RIC 110); Constantius II, (A.D. 337-361), similar to above, Antioch mint, (5.880 grams) rev. as above, in exergue AN**D, G* in left field above, (S.4003, RIC 135). Weak on parts of the legend otherwise good very fine. (2)

Ex John Dean Collection, acquired in Seville in 1973 and reputedly found at the Roman ruins of Italica located nearby.
