SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 206, (3.588 grams), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around SEVERVS AVG PART MAX, rev. around P M TR P XIIII COS III P P, Annona standing to left, holding corn ears and cornucopiae, modius at feet, (S.6338, RIC 200, RSC 476); another similar, issued 196, (3.048 grams), obv. similar, around L SEPT SEV PERT AVG IMP VIII, rev. P M TR P IIII COS II P P, Pax enthroned to left, holding olive-branch and sceptre, (cf.S.6329, RIC 85, RSC 429). Very fine - good very fine. (2)
