ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 220-1, (2.990 grams), obv. laureate bust of Elagabalus draped to right, around IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, rev. around CONSERVATOR AVG, Sol advancing to left, holding whip, with right hand raised, star to left, (S.7506, RIC 63, RSC 19). Light tone, rough edge, very fine.
