KOREA, Yi Dynasty, 'Choson T'ong Bo' (Choson Currency), issue of King Yi Do (1419-1451), copper mun, issued from 1423, 24mm [medium size), another 23mm [smaller size], (Mandel 10.2, 10.3). Very fine and rare. (2)

Choson is the ancient name of Korea. This is the first issue of the Yi Dynasty, it was made in 1423 and ceased after only a few years (Mandel p.13)
