GROUP OF FIVE: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory medal 1914-19; Medaille Militaire; Croix de Guerre. 28384 Dvr D.Ward R.F.A. on first medal, 28384 A-Sjt D.Ward R.F.A. on second and third medals. First three medals impressed, last two medals unnamed. Fourth medal with chipping in the enamel, fine - very fine.
Sgt D.Ward. Enl.R.F.A. 30Oct1902. WWI he served in C/94 Bde R.F.A. until early 1918. In April 1918 Ward was working with a French artillery unit at Locre. During the Battle of Lys, recipient was awarded the French Medaille Militaire for gallantry.
