ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.400-350 B.C.), silver stater, (7.68 grams), obv. head of female to right, wearing ear ring,, with K reversed behind neck, rev. corn ear, META to left downwards, stalk to right with trace of reversed K above, (cf.S.410, Noe [NN&M 47, 1984] 514 [same dies], SNG ANS 384 [same dies]). Bright, very fine or better.
