ITALY, Lucania, Thurium (Thourioi), (c.350 B.C.), silver nomos, stater or didrachm, (7.17 and 7.37 grams), obv. head of Athena to right wearing crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with figure of Scylla, rev. bull butting to right, **QOURIWN*, HP monogram below, tunny fish below in exergue, with dotted exergual line, (cf.S.442; HN 1790, 1813, SNG ANS 1054, 1058). First with obverse corrosion, second with obverse off centred, both with additional letters on reverse, otherwise fine - very fine and rare. (2)
