MYSIA, Pergamon, (123-104 B.C.), silver cistophoric tetradrachm, (12.454 grams), obv. cista mystica containing serpent, all within ivy wreath, rev. bow in case between two coiled serpents, to left monogram of **PER*, above NI, to right serpent entwined thyrsus, (cf.S.3948, Kleiner [ANSMN 23], No.23, example in Athens Collection, Pinder 90). Well centred, nearly extremely fine and rare.
