CARAUSIUS, (A.D. 287-293), billon antoninianus, Clausentum mint (?), (4.14 grams), obv. radiate cuirassed bust of Carausius to right, around IMP C CARAVSIVS P AVG, rev. around COME S AVG, C in exergue, Victory standing to left with palm branch, (cf.S.3556, RIC 200). Some silvering remaining, off centred reverse, extremely fine and rare in this condition.
